What I have always been scared off is the water, so it took a lot for me to go on this boat trip.

I've used 6 photo's in total, with 2 being in colour and the rest being B&W 

The 5 main photo's have been framed with the frame from the kit

I have used 2 of the wordarts both have the water effect background

I've used 5 fonts: Mister Sirloin BTN Rare, Baby Boston, Breamcatcher, Candy Round BTN, Crazy Loot BTN Inline

Decorative title, I've used: 2 papers, the splats, flower and leaves and both strings

My love is colouring but I don't get much free time to do it, yet I know that I need to make better choice of my time. Time wasted on FB playing games or watching TV is time I could be colouring. I have to choose to make better choices of my spare time...

I didn't get this finished in time to start the challenge on the 1st as I've not been feeling to well this week but I've had nurse Roxy the pug looking after me.  

I started off having to sort out my pens and doing a colour chart

This is a mix of the old pens and the new Illustrator Pens, as at the moment there are only 96 colours in the new range they will over the next few month be bring out more colours I've been told it should be around another 200 colours.  I'm going to need a bigger bag lol x

This is were I go to before not being very well, I am really happy with the girls coat but I really need to get some classes in on skin and hair.

Gottapixel - Master Scrapper 2016 Week 1

Well this year I decided I would do this years Master Scrapper at Gottapixel, as I enjoyed it back in 2014.  You are given a kit and told what is required for that weeks challenge, normally its the kit only and they use of your software but with some restrictions. 

Week #1

Challenge Week 1: The layout we would like you to create is a time when you've seized the day! It can be something new that you tried, something that made you proud. The topic is open to anything you've "done".

Oooh I had fun doing this, as it really makes you work hard, with having only your program and kit to work with it really pushes you...

My unique shape is the overlapping circles which are hidden behind the frame top and bottom, the fame has 3 photo's in it. The square is the matted papers, I've used 4 flowers and a mix of leaves. The 2 fonts used are Candy Round BTN and Baby Boston, and I have used 2 word titles from the kit using the 'Enjoy this Moment' as my title for this page. I have added the date to the side of the frame and there is journalling at the bottom.

Software used is Serif CraftArtist 2 I have used styles etc from this software to get this finished look, no other items were added apart from what was given to us from the kit.

Been Colouring using my new pens...

To start off with as from the 1st of November I am going to try and join in with the colouring every

 day for 30 days. And last month I made a start with my new pens.

New Pens...

Ooooh DPD have just been and I have my new pens! I have to say my first impressions of the pens are good. The pen is a bit slimmer than the original pen see the photo (they are not as round if that makes sense). I also like that they have a number and colour name as well as a colour cap.

These remind me more of the Copic Sketch pens in look and feel and I would say that is what CC were hoping to emulate. Righ next step is to colour with them, I will be back later with photo's and what I think of them...

New Noir Illustrator Pens...

Well did you see Hochanda over the weekend and the new Noir Illustrator Pens? I have both the normal Noir pens and copics, I love my copics but I've had problems getting some colours and they are so expensive.

I didn't know about the new pens coming out and only happened to catch a show and at first I was sceptical as I got court out with their pencils last year when I brought the full kit only the have them bring out a new and improved set last Christmas. But I kept watching and seeing the demo and thought WOW if these are half as good as they are showing then I think I will have to try them.

Now the offer on Hochanda was £99 but that was for just 48 pens so I checked out the Crafters Companion web site and they had the complete set 96 pens for just £150 which with my 20% members discount made them just £120 a real bargain. So I ordered Sunday and they are being delivered today. I just need to get some more trays and think about selling off my other Noir pens.

Friendship Card Swap...

Well I've finally got around to doing some colouring and making a card.  I am part of a online colouring group https://www.facebook.com/groups/kitandclowder/ and one if the tasks we were asked to join in on was a members card swap.

The theme is friendship, Alyce matches up members and it's up to you to choose the stamp and make up the card and get it in the post in time...

Here's my card, I am really pleased with how it's turn out I used my new supplies I got from my crafting weekend and new skills I learnt from Anna-Marie last month.

I will also post a photo of the card a receive as I am sure it will be wonderful.

Crafting Weekend With Anna-Marie Designs

We had a lovely crafting weekend with the very talented Anna-Marie Designs, there were 28 of us at this full on creating weekend. Anna-Marie was as always such a great teacher, she pushed us all to try out techniques that we hadn't tried before and we got to understand how and why the products worked. It was great getting to try out products that we had passed on before as we couldn't see how or where we'd use them. We were also treated to a lovely 4 star hotel it was so nice to have a but of luxury and me time xxx

So sorry that I haven't posted anything for such a long time, this has been a hard year for us so I've had to take time out to concentrate on family.  I am hoping to get back to designing new items and getting myself sorted out for the coming Christmas fairs. New kit - Winter Frost from Aimee Harrison Design's

Aimee has a lovely new kit out this week called Winter Frost here are the two layouts I've done.  My first layout also uses the template from Heartstrings.
